How to reach us

Wengen can only be reached by train!

Cars have to be left in a car park in Lauterbrunnen. The trains to Wengen run every 30 minutes (00 and 30). In the evening after 21:30 every hour until 23:30 and then at 01:00am, 02:00am. On Friday and Saturday also at 02:40am. The journey takes 11 minutes.

To Lauterbrunnen

Travel by car

Coming from Bern, take the highway (A8) before Interlaken, direction Interlaken Ost/Luzern, after the “Rugen”tunnel take the first exit Wilderswil and take direction Lauterbrunnen. Coming over the Brünig pass take also the exit Wilderswil.

Parking in Lauterbrunnen

At the entrance of Lauterbrunnen village there is a car park on the left before the train station (bookings for minimum 5 nights in winter and 3 nights in summer are possible). From the car park you get to the train station with the elevator to floor 7. There are trolleys for your luggage next to the elevators. If that car park is full, drive to the train station for unloading and continue to park your car at the car park next to the church or further on (follow the signs). In winter there is a P&R bus which brings you back to the train station (it is about 10 min. walk).

To Wengen

Travel by train

Wengen can only be reached by train from Lauterbrunnen. Cars have to be left in a car park in Lauterbrunnen. The trains to Wengen run every 30 minutes (00 and 30), in the evening after 21.30 every hour until 23:30pm 00:40 am 01:20 am, 02:40am and on weekend 02:40am. The journey takes 12 minutes.

The travel from Zürich or the west part of Switzerland is easy via Bern – Interlaken Ost – Lauterbrunnen and Wengen (be careful in Interlaken to take the correct part of the train to Lauterbrunnen and not to Grindelwald). From East of Switzerland and also from Zürich also via Bern or via Luzern over the Brünig pass to Interlaken Ost – Lauterbrunnen and Wengen.
